What is Salvage Siren?
Salvage Siren offers handmade jewelry that is truly unique. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and made from recycled materials. Salvage Siren was founded on a love of vintage and antique trinkets that often lay forgotten over the years. These trinkets- keys, medals, old advertising and souvenir pieces and more- are now placed were they can be seen and loved when they are transformed into Salvage Siren Jewelry. I hunt all over to find pieces to make into treasured jewelry. I search places like: flea markets, garage sales, auctions, thrift stores, antique stores, and more! Salvage Siren necklaces are almost completely recycled, even the chains! While hunting for vintage trinkets I also search for vintage jewelry in need of a new life and deconstruct the pieces for use in a newly crafted Salvage Siren creation.
The Person behind Salvage Siren:
Each Salvage Siren piece is created by me, Margaret Raines. I am the owner, creator, designer, crafter and living being of Salvage Siren. I live in Portland, Oregon and I am a full time student at Portland State. I have had an exuberant passion for recycling since I was a child. I bring this passion into my handmade jewelry pieces when I create every upcycled piece.
